Subject: | [amigactive] AmigaOne question |
Hello people,
As the time of AmigaOne nears, I have to know if it will be able to replace
my current Amiga 4000.
I wonder if someone could clarify a few things for me.
I need to be able to,
a) network it to PC (via TCP/IP),
b) use SCSI devices,
c) Have hi-res GFX,
d) connect to modem!!
(I currently have AriadneII, CyberSCSI, PicassoII (groan))
Some software I currently rely on is,
ImageStudio (although it's probably about time I bought ImageFX).
PicView2 (by the way, if anyone knows if I can contact the author of this,
let me know).
ShapeShifter
Miami DX (for being an internet gateway).
I guess shapeshifter is a bit dodgy, but will I be able to use the rest of
the stuff? And what about my hardware requirements?
I guess I'll basically have to ditch my 4000 and start again with an
AmigaOne 1200?
Apologies for the questions being a bit basic but I've been distantly
lurking for a long time due to being a bit busy, so have missed much of the
discussion in the past few months.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting quite excited at the
prospect of some new hardware (it's been nearly 10 years since the last time
I bought an Amiga).
